Loan administration associate H/F

Role Purpose

* The Loan Administration team in London Support team provide support to the KL / Kolkata offshore centres services covering Admin Bilateral and Syndicated products originated by CMB, GB, LAF, EMEA and Project Finance. The offshore site is responsible for the day to day BAU, Fee and deal opening/closing. The Support team in London are responsible for the monitoring, training and oversight of all aspects of the Libor Loan product.
* The role requires strong collaboration and organisational skills, predominantly liaising directly with the offshore centres but also dealing with escalations from high profile clients, relationship managers, Client Service Managers and other banks / financial institutions providing advice and guidance when required and assist in delivering on the action plans to resolve performance issues (both from a CTLA and a Client Perspective). Close liaison with other teams within the department is essential, making decisions on work allocation, staffing, cross training and delivering a world class service.

* Ensure that all activities are completed in a timely and cost effective manner, ensuring that time critical deadlines are achieved whilst controlling workflows.
* Ensure regular dialogue in place with KL/Kolkata in form of BAU and REC meetings.
* Escalation point for RM's / CSM's / Finance.
* Escalation point for KL/Kolkata teams.
* Provide ongoing support to KL and Kolkata offshore teams.
* Provide support and assist the Head of Loans both Onshore and Offshore when required
* Provide training / guidance to offshore teams to include WebEx, sessions.
* Review processes and procedures to ensure up to date making recommendations to improve.
* Oversee any required ad hoc projects to ensure deadlines are met.
* Manage generic mailbox and ensure offshore mailboxes are managed effectively.
* Monitor outstanding Recs ensuring historic or large entries are followed up and resolved swiftly.
* Monitor outstanding new deals to ensure correct documentation is held and closing / drawdown process goes smoothly with no negative impact to clients.
* Monitor Error logs, look for consistent errors, and provide feedback, training and recommendations as appropriate.
* Monitoring outstanding Fees to ensure no negative impact to our clients.
* Monitor SAR/WIP controls to ensure KL/Kolkata are with BAU limits.
* Monitor queries to ensure kept within agreed TAT.
* Assist offshore teams with complex queries and calculations.
* Ensure IMCF and EOD controls are in place.

* Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
