Actuary - reserving manager m/f H/F

Overview of role

Management of the activities and work of the Reserving Teams.
3 teams led by 3 team leaders, 10 staff currently with 1 open position.
3 legal entities CACI Life, Non-Life, Re reporting to the CBI.
2 legal entities and Finaref Vie and RD reporting to the ACPR (French regulator).
1 service company providing Actuarial services to another company in the group within the Business unit.
Manage the team (deadlines, processes), allocate efficiently the resources, assure retention of staff and skills improvement, monitor performance and succeed new staff integration.

Team 1: Reserving Irish Entities
Oversee the timely and accurate delivery of Technical accounts, Profit share accounts, profit sharing estimates and Reinsurance Accounts.
Oversee the production of the annual reserving policy and explain and justify movements in reserves.
Communicate and justify movements in Reserves to the Technical Committee, auditors and the Head of Actuarial Function.
Oversee the testing and integration of new data warehouse data in the Reserving processes.
Provide communication and support to Business Development teams.
Streamline technical portfolio monitoring.

Team 2: SAS Models
Oversee the testing and integration of new data warehouse data in the Reserving processes.
Oversee the creation and modification of new sas programs feeding into the reserving and modelling processes.
Oversee the production of the model points in SAS.

Team 3: Reserving French entities
Oversee the Reserving and Modelling of the 2 French entities Finaref Vie and RD similar to the role described above for the Irish entities.
Provide Actuarial services (reserving mainly) to another company within the Business unit also reporting to the French regulator.

Transverse missions with “CAA Actuariat Pôle Vie” teams in Paris :
Centralize contributions to Group Strategic Technical Committee.
Organize CAAPE BU Technical Committee (define quarterly agenda for CACI Dublin).
Steer quarterly specific analyses done by Dublin teams and challenge quarterly specific analyses done by Paris teams.
Participate in all harmonization actions to be initiated between Paris and Dublin teams (methodologies, assumptions, tools, policies).


Processes
Develop, update, implement and improve control processes related to the activity of the actuarial department.
Work to ensure continuous improvements in these processes to maximize the efficiency of the team.
