Eu accounting manager (m/f) H/F

Our client is a US based biotech company who have started to set up operations for Europe in Zug.

They have an international team, open mindset, and passionate people.

Reporting to the Controller Europe your main resopnsibilities will be:Manage all accounting operations including OTC, revenue recognition, costing and inventory, fixed asset, cash management, payroll and general ledger for all our EU subsidiaries
Prepare and review of the General ledger month end close of the US GAAP books, including journal entry posting and review
Monthly preparation and review of Balance Sheet reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements for monthly and quarterly financial reporting
Ensure strong internal controls environment and maintain documentation evidencing SOX compliance
Collaborate with US Finance team on accounting and reporting activities


Work closely with the external providers to comply with statutory reporting requirements (Stat Accounts, Tax Returns and VAT Returns) for all European entities

Work with the external audit firm to ensure that the annual audits of our EU subsidiaries are carried out efficiently meeting all the requirements.

Assist with quarterly consolidated audit preparation, as needed

Partner cross-functionally and cross-regionally in the development and oversight of financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and scalability for a rapidly growing organization

Support evaluation and evolution of financial operations policies and procedures in collaboration with Finance team in the US

Support the design and build of the European Finance function and take on additional responsibilities during build up phase in areas such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Direct and Indirect tax, Intrastat reporting and Treasury

Participate in ad-hoc projects

US based Biotech company, great environment

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent, ideally with a CPA or ACCA qualification

6+ years of accounting experience in multinational company (pharmaceutical industry experience preferred)

Strong financial analysis and accounting skills, thorough knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS accounting principles are a must

Advanced financial systems knowledge - Oracle Financials and Blackline is a plus

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and work flow

Flexible and hands on mentality, and someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and take on additional responsibilities fast

Independent, driven, resilient, and a team player

Fluent English. Other main European languages preferred.
