We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Credit Controller to join our client at their head office based in Congleton. You will be reporting into the General Manager and be solely responsible for the credit control function for the business.

This is varied role will suit a methodical and motivated individual who is passionate about a career within finance, particularly credit control.

The client is an independent and privately-owned and they really focus on the relationship between the public and private sectors across Europe.

Job Description:

Duties for the Senior Credit Controller position will include:

* Managing debtors with appropriate reporting
* Ensuring timely payments are made by being proactive via telephone and email
* Processing refunds and allocating credit notes
* Resolving errors and liaising with various departments to ensure accounts are up to date
* Undertake account reconciliations and work closely with the wider finance when doing so
* Completing monthly reporting as required
* Contract invoicing and associated credit control relating to payments
* Ad hoc duties as and when required by the General Manager

For the Senior Credit Controller position, it would be good to see candidates who:

* Someone who has worked in a similar role at senior level with 5 years' experience
* Have the ability to work in a team as well as individually
* Can guide and support other team members
* Are able to deal with high volume accounts
* Are results driven
* Have good attention to detail and accuracy
* Are able to process procedures/policies
* Have a high level of skill in organizing and prioritizing
* Have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Due to the nature of the business and the plans for growth they will require an experienced Credit Controller, someone who can work with the minimum supervision, subject to being trained on the accounting system

This role is commutable from: Kidsgrove, Biddulph, Alsager, Talke, Stoke, Newcastle, Winsford, Northwich

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm

Salary: £25,000 per annum
