To strengthen our finance team, we are looking for a Senior Accountant with solid experience in insurance and reinsurance accounting.Your roleReporting to the CFO or COO, you make sure the company's financial statements are prepared on time, reliable and compliant. You oversee technical insurance accounting and play an active part in periodic closings and regulatory reporting, including group reporting to REVO.Your responsibilitiesTechnical accounting and operations• Monitor premium, premium reserve, claims and commission flows.• Validate the interfaces between business systems and the general ledger.• Reconcile third-party accounts with policyholders, brokers and reinsurers.• Manage the accounting of reinsurance treaties.Closing and reporting• Review and manage monthly, quarterly and annual closings.• Calculate, record and monitor technical provisions (excluding claims provisions).• Analyse variances between actual results and forecasts.• Prepare intragroup consolidation packages and notes to the financial statements where required.Regulatory compliance and tax• Calculate and record tax provisions and prepare corporate income tax and VAT returns.• Contribute to Solvency II regulatory reporting for the Commissariat aux Assurances (CAA).• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards (Lux GAAP, IFRS 17).• Act as the main point of contact for statutory and other auditors.Your profile• A master's-level qualification in accounting or finance (e.g. DSCG, Master CCA or business school).• 3 to 5 years' experience in insurance or reinsurance accounting, gained at an audit firm (insurance/reinsurance sector), an insurer, a reinsurer or a broker.• A strong command of accounting rules specific to insurance and reinsurance.• Knowledge of Solvency II regulatory requirements.• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, especially Excel, and experience with ERP and accounting systems.• A dynamic, meticulous and analytical person, autonomous and team-oriented.Languages• Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written (C1 level).• A good knowledge of Italian is an advantage.What we offer• A full-time permanent contract under Luxembourg law.• Flexible working hours.• Up to 2 days of remote work per week.• The chance to grow within an international insurance group.• Ongoing training, support and professional development.• A base salary plus a performance-based bonus.• Meal vouchers and a pension plan.• A laptop and a smartphone.• A collaborative, ambitious and friendly work environment....
